Anyone ever heard of John Heald’s blog or heard of Carnival’s Blogging Cruise?
Do you know anyone who’s been on it? I want to know if you had any fun on it?
It’s coming up again in Feb 2009 and I would consider going on it if I knew someone who’s had experience with it.
Also, I can get you discounted fares on it if you want to go. Email me at othurme@aol.com if you’re interested in getting rates.

I don’t know about Carnival Cruises. I have heard some bad stuff about them from the Keith and the Girl podcast episode 784. Sounds like they were a hot mess… that being said.
I do plan on taking a cruise with my boy sometime when we aren’t in class. Too bad it can’t be in Feb cause that would be a really fun cruise, being around other bloggers and all.
Justin - I know that historically Carnival has a bad rep, but I know that in the past few years they have worked hard to try to drop that reputation. I’ve spoke with people who have been on Carnival recently and they had a a great time with great accommodations. And I know that Carnival now spends more money on food ($25 per customer per day) than any other mainstream cruise line. I’m supposed to go on a Carnival cruise in Jan. I guess I’ll find out first hand.
You know, Ryan had a great time on a Carnival cruise earlier this summer so maybe so! We were looking at the Holland America line. Thoughts?
Justin - I can’t give you a personal comparison because I’ve never been on Holland America and it’s hard to generalize too much on a line because all the ships are different within the line. But painting with broad strokes, Holland typically has a older client base, less kids, less late night activities (when compared to Carnival). Holland is a generally speaking a higher end line, they are going to be a little pricier, but the food and service are supposed to be fantastic.
