Hello - Those are the kinds of things that make you (and your aunt) really awesome. It's not just your noteworthy knockers.

amen! when i die there is no reason why my organs should be wasted. everyone in my family knows my feelings and i have the little organ donor indication on my license. plus i have a living will that clearly indicates my wishes.

my aunt tried to give a kindey to a stranger, but they weren't a good match. i thought that was really an amazing act of generosity, but she didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal. she's awesome. i'll have to hug her extra hard at easter dinner.

Hello - I don't think anyone who needs a kidney would ever even want to accept one from a stranger. It's a hard thing emotionally to take it from someone you know, I would have to imagine it being harder for a stranger.

But I'm totally on board for giving to someone you know. It's a wonderful thing. But it's not because strangers won't give their organs while their alive that so many people die needing one, it's because not enough people become organ donors after they die. I can't see people not wanting to help out 8 or 9 others need their parts after they die. That's the real issue.

There are so many people who would give, but don't make that clear enough for their loved ones in time.
